Responsibilities For Supplier Development Engineer, Mechanical Systems (Starshield)

  • Improve quality, cost, delivery, and capacity metrics for mechanical hardware
  • Collaborate with design, materials, and manufacturing engineers
  • Support procurement team in strategic sourcing
  • Create and define supplier technical and quality requirements
  • Lead resolution of supplier quality issues
  • Implement and monitor production part approval process (PPAP)
  • Analyze supplier quality and delivery metrics
  • Conduct research to identify potential new suppliers
  • Drive product & process improvements
  • Manage mission-critical supply chain

Requirements For Supplier Development Engineer, Mechanical Systems (Starshield)

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or STEM discipline
  • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing/process engineering or internship
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
  • Understanding of GD&T
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques and Six Sigma
  • Knowledge of lean, production, and supply chain concepts
  • Willing to work long hours and weekends when needed
  • Travel up to 25-60% of work week
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
