Responsibilities For Test Engineer (Falcon Test)

  • Test rocket hardware to determine suitability for flight
  • Provide on-console engineering support for technicians during daily test stand operations
  • Perform real-time and post-test data review to evaluate performance
  • Create, review, and optimize test processes/procedures
  • Identify and resolve system pitfalls and potential hazards
  • Serve as final authority for operational safety
  • Document test results and recommend improvements

Requirements For Test Engineer (Falcon Test)

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering or other engineering field
  • 1+ years of hands-on testing experience
  • Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
  • Physical ability to work in tight quarters and lift up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Experience with mechanical systems and test operations preferred
  • Knowledge of hazardous systems preferred
  • Experience with instrumentation and control systems preferred
  • Experience with code based data analytics (Python, R, MATLAB, LabVIEW) preferred
