Responsibilities For Test Engineer, Materials Processing Lab

  • Work closely with product engineers to understand materials requirements for their applications
  • Design, build, and operate custom test equipment to evaluate new materials and designs
  • Work with materials engineers to assess best approaches for metal processing
  • Develop laboratory capabilities and analysis methods
  • Specify, design, install, commission and validate metal processing equipment
  • Lead process development of developmental materials through parameter optimization and experiments

Requirements For Test Engineer, Materials Processing Lab

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or other engineering discipline
  • 1+ years of manufacturing or design experience
  • Physical ability to lift and carry equipment up to 30 lbs unassisted
  • Willingness to work long hours and weekends as needed
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments
  • Ability to work with chemicals using proper PPE
