Responsibilities For Test Engineer, Materials Processing Lab
- Work closely with product engineers to understand materials requirements for their applications
- Design, build, and operate custom test equipment to evaluate new materials and designs
- Work with materials engineers to assess best approaches for metal processing
- Develop laboratory capabilities and analysis methods
- Specify, design, install, commission and validate metal processing equipment
- Lead process development of developmental materials through parameter optimization and experiments
Requirements For Test Engineer, Materials Processing Lab
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or other engineering discipline
- 1+ years of manufacturing or design experience
- Physical ability to lift and carry equipment up to 30 lbs unassisted
- Willingness to work long hours and weekends as needed
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
- Ability to work in outdoor environments
- Ability to work with chemicals using proper PPE
