The position offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge welding technologies and processes, including electron beam welding, laser beam welding, and various other advanced welding techniques. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team of design and build engineers, making critical welding judgment calls and implementing standardized practices across multiple welded assemblies.

The compensation package is highly competitive, ranging from $95,000 to $130,000 per year, depending on experience and level. This role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and hands-on fabrication experience. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with various welding processes, have experience in root cause analysis, and be willing to work flexible hours when needed. The position may require up to 50% travel to other SpaceX facilities in Texas and Washington state.

Working at SpaceX means being part of a mission to revolutionize space technology and make humanity a multi-planetary species. The company culture emphasizes innovation, quick decision-making, and a fast-paced environment where engineers can make a direct impact on the future of space exploration.

Due to ITAR requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, refugees, or asylees. SpaceX is an Equal Opportunity Employer, valuing diversity and inclusion in its workforce. The company provides reasonable accommodations and maintains an Affirmative Action Plan for veterans and individuals with disabilities.
