Spartech, a leading manufacturing organization headquartered in Maryland Heights, Missouri, is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer for their Goodyear, AZ facility. This facility specializes in premium optical acrylic sheet production for high-performance aerospace applications, including fighter jet canopies and aircraft windows.

The ideal candidate will drive process improvement and optimization through data analysis and implementation of Operational Excellence and LEAN methodologies. You'll be responsible for enhancing material/labor utilization, output rates, setup times, and product quality while coordinating both long and short-term projects to achieve facility goals.

Responsibilities For Manufacturing Process Engineer (REQ609)

  • Drive process improvement and root cause analysis
  • Coordinate long and short-term project identification and execution
  • Optimize process performance through Operational Excellence and LEAN tools
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements including cycle optimizations
  • Contribute to customer complaint process via root cause analysis
  • Train operational, process, and quality staff
  • Lead projects using standard project management tools
  • Ensure compliance to ISO/IMS and Operational Excellence policies

Requirements For Manufacturing Process Engineer (REQ609)

  • BS Degree in Chemical Engineering or Physical Sciences or equivalent
  • Minimum five years operations or engineering experience
  • 3 years preferred experience in plastics related Industry
  • Operational Excellence training and/or certifications (Lean, Six Sigma, ISO)
  • Outstanding leadership characteristics
  • Analytical and mathematical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • SAP ERP experience preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels
