Description For Backend Engineer - Customer Service Platform

Spotify is seeking a Backend Engineer to join their Rocksolid squad, which forms the backbone of their Customer Service Platform (CSP). This role offers a unique opportunity to work on systems that directly impact customer support operations at scale. The position involves designing and maintaining backend services critical to the company's customer support ecosystem, covering multiple channels including web, email, compliance logging, account management, and operational automation.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams in an agile environment, working alongside product managers and engineering leaders to drive technical innovation. You'll be responsible for developing scalable, high-performance backend solutions that power customer support experiences for millions of users worldwide. A key part of the role involves working on the Conversation SDK, which powers approximately 65% of customer support interactions.

As a Backend Engineer, you'll be involved in implementing and optimizing APIs, maintaining compliance-critical systems, and working with data pipelines. The position offers the flexibility of hybrid work from the London office, requiring in-person presence three times per week.
