Backend Engineer

Spotify's Personalization Team is at the forefront of music and podcast recommendation technology, serving hundreds of millions of users globally. As a Backend Engineer on the Mimir squad, you'll be integral to the team that powers Spotify's vector ecosystems at scale through the Flux Platform. You'll work on critical features like "Home," "Search," "Discover Weekly," and "Daily Mix."

The role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, where you'll architect and build Java services that impact millions of users. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple locations including Boston, New York, Stockholm, and London, working on challenging problems in music recommendations and personalization.

The position offers the flexibility to work remotely within North America, with collaboration centered in the Eastern Standard time zone.
