Description For Backend Engineer - Music

Spotify is seeking a Backend Engineer to join their Music Mission engineering organization, specifically the Crescendo squad within the Music Promotion and Spotify for Artists Growth product area. This role is crucial in building tools and services that enable music creators to create, promote, express, and monetize their work at scale.

The position involves working with a team focused on crafting communication channels with customers across the Spotify for Artists experience. The role requires expertise in Java programming, database management, and cloud technologies, particularly Google's GCP platform.

The team operates in a fast-paced, innovative environment where you'll have opportunities for individual growth through hack time, reading groups, lectures, and various internal training courses. You'll be working remotely within the North American region, collaborating in the EST time zone.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $125,562 - $179,374 plus equity, along with comprehensive benefits including health insurance, parental leave, retirement plans, and generous paid time off.
