Spotify is seeking a Fullstack/Backend Engineer for their Experimentation Platform team. The role is part of the "Think it, build it, ship it, tweak it" development approach, focusing on providing teams with the platform and best practices for rapid and safe iteration of ideas.

You'll be joining a multidisciplinary team passionate about creating the world's best experimentation platform. This role offers the opportunity to develop a wide range of engineering skills, from core backend systems to sophisticated frontends.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing new high-scale services within the experimentation domain
  • Working across the full stack with an emphasis on backend
  • Contributing to an autonomous, multi-functional team
  • Collaborating with specialists, product owners, and designers
  • Participating in on-call rotations

The ideal candidate has:

  • Several years of experience building scalable systems
  • Proficiency in Java and TypeScript/JavaScript
  • Strong backend foundation with comfort across the entire tech stack
  • Experience with technologies like experimentation, UX/frontend, API design, and cloud stacks (e.g., GCP)
  • A product-focused mindset and willingness to take initiative
  • Deep knowledge of writing robust, maintainable applications
  • Understanding of distributed high-volume applications
