Staff Software Engineer

As a Staff Software Engineer on the tracking team, you'll play a crucial role in delivering ML solutions for tracking problems in self-driving systems. You'll work on state-of-the-art closed- and open-world tracking systems for L4 self-driving vehicles, contributing to the technical direction of both the tracking team and the broader perception organization.

Your responsibilities will include writing robust software for real-time, resource-constrained, safety-critical applications, driving cross-functional features from problem statement to delivery, and proactively identifying and improving limitations in the existing tracking system. You'll also lead challenging technical topics, build consensus, and align stakeholders through strong presentation and communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in architecting, training, and deploying deep learning models in real-world environments, as well as a track record of driving applied research projects from conception to completion. Knowledge of advanced probabilistic algorithms for solving problems with uncertain inputs and imperfect models is crucial, as is strong experience in software engineering and algorithm design.
