Description For Tier 2 Technical Support Engineer

Staff4Me is seeking a Tier 2 Technical Support Engineer to join our team in a remote capacity. This role is crucial for maintaining and supporting our network infrastructure and operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for network monitoring, troubleshooting, and basic configuration support while working in a 24/7 operational environment. You'll be handling everything from proactive monitoring to escalation management, working with both internal teams and external suppliers.

As a Tier 2 Technical Support Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of our network operations, managing critical infrastructure and ensuring smooth operations. Your responsibilities will range from basic network configurations to complex troubleshooting scenarios. You'll work with various stakeholders, from practice employees to broadband suppliers, making your role vital to our organization's success.

Responsibilities For Tier 2 Technical Support Engineer

  • Proactive monitoring of network hardware and resolving network issues and outages
  • Perform basic and pre-approved network configuration changes (SOP)
  • Network operation center (NOC) assistance in case management
  • Notification of outages to practice and remote troubleshooting
  • Working with Broadband supplier to monitor and manage service outages
  • Escalation of unresolvable or advanced configuration issues to advanced support tiers
  • Configuration change request/outages management
  • Firmware Upgrades to Network hardware

Requirements For Tier 2 Technical Support Engineer

Linux
  • Tier 2 Certified Agent certification
  • Fundamental understanding of networking concepts
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends
