Stream is a high-growth startup that powers chat for many large apps like Strava, Nextdoor, Patreon, IBM, Adobe, and Midjourney. We use Go for our video SFU & chat API, along with CockroachDB/Postgres, RocksDB, Raft, and Redis. We offer a 10-week internal onboarding program focused on Go and scalability, making it an excellent opportunity for experienced engineers to learn and grow.
We're looking for backend engineers with at least 4 years of experience, preferably with knowledge in 2 out of 3 areas: Go, scalability/database/Redis, or SDK development. Additional skills like AWS, Python, Rust, message queues, full-text search, or WebRTC are a plus.
Stream offers a challenging environment with high-scale engineering problems, a strong engineering culture, and the opportunity to work with an edge network of servers worldwide. We've raised $58M from leading VCs and have notable backers from the tech industry.
Our hybrid policy requires applicants based in the Netherlands (within 60km of the office) to work in the Amsterdam office 3 times per week, with possible exemptions.
We offer competitive salaries ranging from €70,000 to €160,000 EUR depending on seniority and location, along with excellent benefits including equity, pension scheme, learning budget, and more. Join us to work on open-source projects and be part of a team of exceptional engineers in the heart of Amsterdam.
