As a Security Engineer (Application) at Sword Health, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the company's applications and cloud infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing security measures, monitoring for threats and vulnerabilities, performing root cause analyses, and collaborating with development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Application Security, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience. Responsibilities For Security Engineer (Application)

  • Design, implement, and maintain security aspects of applications
  • Monitor applications for security threats and vulnerabilities
  • Perform root cause analyses (RCA) and incident reviews
  • Prioritize applications risks and vulnerabilities remediations
  • Collaborate with development team to integrate security into software development lifecycle
  • Manage preventative security measures and services related to SSDLC
  • Monitor, analyze, and triage security logs
  • Stay up-to-date on latest security threats and trends
  • Integrate or build security tools for continuous monitoring

Requirements For Security Engineer (Application)

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Application Security
  • Strong understanding of Application Security concepts
  • Experience with Application Security tools (Snyk, Burp Suite, DefectDojo)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
  • Experience with Application Security testing and assessment tools
  • Knowledge of common security frameworks and standards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking
