Responsibilities For Security Engineer (Application)
- Design, implement, and maintain security aspects of applications
- Monitor applications for security threats and vulnerabilities
- Perform root cause analyses (RCA) and incident reviews
- Prioritize applications risks and vulnerabilities remediations
- Collaborate with development team to integrate security into software development lifecycle
- Manage preventative security measures and services related to SSDLC
- Monitor, analyze, and triage security logs
- Stay up-to-date on latest security threats and trends
- Integrate or build security tools for continuous monitoring
Requirements For Security Engineer (Application)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Application Security
- Strong understanding of Application Security concepts
- Experience with Application Security tools (Snyk, Burp Suite, DefectDojo)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Experience with Application Security testing and assessment tools
- Knowledge of common security frameworks and standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking
