Responsibilities For Field Service Engineer (Medical Device - Installs)

  • Lead on-site installations of linear accelerators, including assembly, calibration, and system validation
  • Perform commissioning and post-install testing to verify equipment functionality, safety, and compliance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute installations efficiently
  • Provide customer training on operational protocols, safety procedures, and basic troubleshooting
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installations
  • Maintain detailed documentation of installation processes
  • Manage travel logistics and tools/equipment for extended on-site assignments
  • Uphold strict safety standards and compliance with hospital regulations

Requirements For Field Service Engineer (Medical Device - Installs)

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience installing, maintaining, or repairing linear accelerators
  • Proficiency in electro-mechanical systems, vacuum systems, and software/networking troubleshooting
  • Willingness to travel 75-80% of the time
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet vendor credentialing requirements
