The position requires 5 years of relevant experience and offers a competitive salary range of $170,000 to $240,000, with potential for higher compensation for exceptional candidates. Responsibilities For Database Engineer
- Support database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow and analysis activities
- Develop database structures that fit into the overall architecture of the system
- Create and maintain ad hoc queries, scripts and macros
- Develop database parser software and database loading software
- Make trades among data volumes, number of users, logical and physical distribution, response times, retention rules, security and domain controls
- Develop long and short term requirements for database administration and design
- Lead development of database structures and overall system architecture
- Develop requirement recommendations from project inception to conclusion
Requirements For Database Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university (or 5 years additional DBE experience)
- Five (5) years' experience as a DBE in programs and contracts of similar scope
- Experience in database design, development, and implementation
