Technical Lead - Digital Signal Processing (DSP)

TandemLaunch is hiring a Technical Lead with deep expertise in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) to join the leadership team of a deep-tech startup developing software solutions to enhance signal-to-noise ratios in complex systems. As a technical lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the innovation and development of our DSP-driven software solutions, ensuring the architecture is robust, scalable, and capable of pushing the boundaries of what is possible with modern signal processing techniques.

TandemLaunch turns groundbreaking innovations in consumer electronics, hardware-enabled technologies, machine learning, and embedded systems into successful ventures. The role involves leading the design, development, and optimization of algorithms to enhance signal-to-noise ratios in complex environments, architecting scalable software systems for real-time signal processing, and mentoring junior engineers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Analyzing and interpreting noisy data sets using advanced DSP techniques
• Developing proof-of-concept models and integrating them into production
• Leading code reviews and technical discussions
• Defining the technical roadmap for achieving an MVP within 18-24 months
• Leading the scientific team to validate core product functionalities

Qualifications:

• MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field
• Strong proficiency in DSP algorithms and techniques
• Experience with tools like SPICE, Cadence, or similar simulation software
• Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, MATLAB, or other relevant languages
• Familiarity with signal processing toolkits and libraries
• Experience with performance optimization in software and hardware implementations
• Knowledge of modern software engineering practices
