Responsibilities For Principal Engineer (React)
- Serve as a technical advisor to clients, diagnosing and resolving complex frontend challenges
- Provide hands-on frontend development for smaller clients while focusing on architecture for larger enterprises
- Work with client executives to translate business requirements into technical strategies
- Establish technical standards and architectural principles for React applications
- Evaluate existing applications and codebases, identifying technical debt
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to distributed frontend engineering teams
- Design and implement improvements to frontend development workflows and CI/CD pipelines
- Lead technical discovery sessions and architectural reviews
- Develop frontend performance optimization strategies and component design systems
- Implement security best practices across frontend ecosystems
- Interview and qualify React developer candidates
Requirements For Principal Engineer (React)
- 8+ years of frontend development experience, with 4+ years React experience
- 3+ years in a senior technical leadership role
- Demonstrated proficiency with React ecosystem (Redux, React Router, Next.js)
- Experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3/SASS/LESS
- Strong understanding of frontend build tools and testing frameworks
- Expertise in frontend performance optimization and accessibility standards
- Experience with backend integration, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with monolithic and micro-frontend architectural patterns
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms and infrastructure architecture
