Description For LS301 - Lightspeed Customer Solution Engineer

Telesat (NASDAQ and TSX: TSAT) is a leading global satellite operator, providing reliable and secure satellite-delivered communications solutions worldwide for over 50 years. The company is seeking a Lightspeed Customer Solution Engineer to join their Global Sales Engineering (GSE) Group.

As a member of the GSE team, you will:

  • Provide technical support for pre- and post-sales activities
  • Develop effective solutions using Telesat's Lightspeed constellation
  • Support the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region teams
  • Design cost-effective satellite and terrestrial communication link solutions
  • Gather customer requirements and present solutions
  • Perform modeling, simulations, and conduct test evaluations

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and proposing Lightspeed communications solutions
  • Working with the Global Sales Team and customers
  • Preparing and presenting proposals
  • Identifying new revenue opportunities
  • Supporting projects from design to implementation
  • Participating in trade shows and customer events

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in systems engineering or connectivity solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with satellite communications and RF link analysis (preferred)
  • Fluent English (second language highly desirable)
  • Industry certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, CCNP, Juniper JNCIA/ENT) preferred
  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings and events

  • Work with Global Sales Team and customers to validate requirements
  • Prepare and present proposals to customers
  • Lead and participate in customer meetings
  • Identify new revenue opportunities within Telesat's Lightspeed product portfolio
  • Support projects from design to implementation
  • Participate in trade shows, customer events, and technical demonstrations

Requirements For LS301 - Lightspeed Customer Solution Engineer

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Networking, Cloud, or Computer Science or equivalent
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in systems engineering or connectivity solutions
  • Fluent English (second language highly desirable)
  • Experience with satellite communications, RF link analysis, and RF hardware (preferred)
  • Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, Juniper JNCIA/ENT (preferable)
  • Ability and willingness to travel
