Telesat (NASDAQ and TSX: TSAT) is a leading global satellite operator, providing reliable and secure satellite-delivered communications solutions worldwide for over 50 years. The company is seeking a Lightspeed Customer Solution Engineer to join their Global Sales Engineering (GSE) Group.
As a member of the GSE team, you will:
- Provide technical support for pre- and post-sales activities
- Develop effective solutions using Telesat's Lightspeed constellation
- Support the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region teams
- Design cost-effective satellite and terrestrial communication link solutions
- Gather customer requirements and present solutions
- Perform modeling, simulations, and conduct test evaluations
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and proposing Lightspeed communications solutions
- Working with the Global Sales Team and customers
- Preparing and presenting proposals
- Identifying new revenue opportunities
- Supporting projects from design to implementation
- Participating in trade shows and customer events
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of relevant experience in systems engineering or connectivity solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with satellite communications and RF link analysis (preferred)
- Fluent English (second language highly desirable)
- Industry certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, CCNP, Juniper JNCIA/ENT) preferred
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings and events
