Responsibilities For Technical Support Engineer

  • Work closely with Sales, Customer Advocacy, R&D, and Operations teams
  • Troubleshoot and address customer technical inquiries
  • Use remote troubleshooting techniques
  • Analyze vulnerability scan results, system audits, and log events
  • Recreate customer software issues in lab environment
  • Ensure customer feedback is captured for Product Management
  • Maintain knowledge of Tenable products and security best-practices
  • Create and publish solution knowledge
  • Review personal performance metrics

Requirements For Technical Support Engineer

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • Knowledge of networking, TCP/IP Ports and Protocols, Linux/Unix, macOS, Windows administration
  • Previous experience in customer support or network security
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
  • Able to work hybrid/onsite location at HQ in Columbia MD
  • Occasional availability to work weekends and Holidays
