We are seeking a Senior Cost Engineer with extensive experience in data center hardware cost analysis. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing costs throughout our hardware product lifecycle, from design to manufacturing, while maintaining the high performance standards required for AI systems in data center environments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain detailed cost models for data center hardware components
  • Analyze and forecast costs related to materials, manufacturing processes, and supply chain logistics
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Conduct competitive cost analysis and benchmark our hardware products
  • Develop strategies to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) for our customers
  • Work closely with procurement teams to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers
  • Provide regular cost analysis reports and recommendations to senior management
  • Stay updated on industry trends and cost-saving innovations

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in cost engineering, specifically in data center hardware
  • Strong understanding of data center hardware components
  • In-depth knowledge of custom silicon chip design and manufacturing cost structures
  • Expertise in PCB design and manufacturing cost analysis
  • Proficiency in cost modeling tools and techniques
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills
