Ground Software Systems Engineer

Terran Orbital, a leader in innovation, manufacturing, and operations in the satellite industry, is seeking a motivated Ground Software Systems Engineer to contribute to the Ground Systems Engineering (GSE) Team in Irvine, CA. The role involves developing, deploying, and sustaining Ground System and Mission Operations tools and automations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting Mission Operations, AI&T, and Ground Software in developing tools and automation
• Providing on-call support to Mission Operations and AI&T
• Developing and implementing solutions-focused strategies for system architecture and engineering activities
• Supporting various systems architecting and engineering activities
• Ensuring logical conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or relevant discipline
• 3+ years' experience with Software Systems Engineering, Design, and Architecture Development
• Experience with Linux, networking, container technologies, Python, JavaScript
• Experience with complex ground systems
• Meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills

Distinguishing qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI security clearance
• Advanced degree in Engineering
• Experience with Qradio, microservice architecture, government cybersecurity requirements
• MBSE expertise and familiarity with aerospace flight hardware testing
• Understanding of Git, CI/CD, DevOps, Cloud, Containerization, and Kubernetes
