Terran Orbital, a pioneer in satellite technology and space solutions, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their innovative team. This role, reporting to the Director of Quality, is crucial for maintaining and improving quality standards in satellite manufacturing. The position offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge space technologies while ensuring the highest quality standards in satellite production.

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality systems, supporting design and manufacturing processes, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute quality plans, manage MRB dispositions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring 2+ years of manufacturing industry experience and quality control expertise, with knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 standards. Responsibilities For Quality Engineer

  • Provide quality support to design and manufacturing
  • Manage MRB Dispositions
  • Develop and analyze data for quality and reliability
  • Utilize structured problem-solving tools
  • Develop and implement quality plans for new customers and products
  • Perform contract review on incoming customer orders
  • Support team members in production and testing activities
  • Manage quality training activities across departments
  • Evaluate returned defective products
  • Participate in quality department reviews
  • Coordinate and perform quality audits
  • Update monthly metrics and report status
  • Develop and manage quality database programs

Requirements For Quality Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in quality engineering, Quality Management, or related engineering technology
  • 2+ years of related experience in the manufacturing industry
  • 2+ years of experience in performing audits related to quality controls
  • Experience/training in AS9100 and ISO9001 standards
  • Demonstrated experience working in multi-organization teams in a quality assurance role
  • Team player with ability to work closely with peers
  • Experience with audit and inspection in accordance with quality management systems
  • Must have a continuous improvement mindset
