Responsibilities For Sr. Mechanical Engineer

  • Lead small teams in mechanical engineering design and development of spacecraft
  • Model spacecraft and ground support equipment mechanical parts
  • Conduct vehicle and sub-system analysis
  • Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation
  • Generate and present technical content for reviews
  • Develop spacecraft electrical cabling solutions
  • Coordinate design and analysis activities
  • Collaborate on implementing design for manufacturing
  • Review and approve engineering work of peers
  • Contribute to Process Development and Continuous Improvement

Requirements For Sr. Mechanical Engineer

  • B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience designing complex mechanical systems
  • Robust capability with SolidWorks, Creo, or similar CAD software
  • Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
  • Hands-on experience with hardware manufacture
  • Project management and coordination skills
  • Experience conducting technical peer reviews
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible for required authorizations
