Responsibilities For Structural Engineer

  • Work with multidisciplinary team to reduce risks in structure design
  • Create detailed finite element models of satellite structures
  • Manage mechanical test projects from start to finish
  • Develop test plans, procedures, and reports for mechanical analyses
  • Interface with outside vendors/test facilities
  • Participate in vehicle arrangement and design/analysis discussions
  • Design and analyze testing fixtures

Requirements For Structural Engineer

  • BS or MS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or equivalent degree
  • 1-4 years of experience in structural analyses in space/aerospace sector
  • Experience with Nastran/Patran
  • Understanding of solid mechanics and material science principles
  • Experience with Solidworks or equivalent CAD software
  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for required authorizations
