Responsibilities For Automation Control Engineer

  • Program and debug structure text and ladder logic code on multiple PLC controller platforms
  • Develop organized, structured, and documented code
  • Create robust programs for complex machinery control
  • Interface equipment with Tesla Manufacturing Execution System using Python and SQL
  • Create operator touchscreen interfaces and SCADA dashboard screens
  • Set up and tune servo drives and VFDs
  • Design and implement control reliable safety systems
  • Manage electrical cabinet builds and field wiring
  • Participate in equipment conceptual development
  • Manage suppliers during automation equipment lifecycle

Requirements For Automation Control Engineer

Python
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science or 5+ years' experience
  • PLC experience (Siemens, Beckhoff or B&R preferred)
  • Human Machine Interface (HMI / GUI) experience
  • Proficiency in creating electrical and fluid schematics in CAD
  • Structured Text (IEC 61131-3) programming skills
