Responsibilities For Automation Control Engineer
- Program and debug structure text and ladder logic code on multiple PLC controller platforms
- Develop organized, structured, and documented code
- Create robust programs for complex machinery control
- Interface equipment with Tesla Manufacturing Execution System using Python and SQL
- Create operator touchscreen interfaces and SCADA dashboard screens
- Set up and tune servo drives and VFDs
- Design and implement control reliable safety systems
- Manage electrical cabinet builds and field wiring
- Participate in equipment conceptual development
- Manage suppliers during automation equipment lifecycle
Requirements For Automation Control Engineer
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science or 5+ years' experience
- PLC experience (Siemens, Beckhoff or B&R preferred)
- Human Machine Interface (HMI / GUI) experience
- Proficiency in creating electrical and fluid schematics in CAD
- Structured Text (IEC 61131-3) programming skills
