Responsibilities For Battery Engineering Technician

  • Design, build, and test engineering prototypes of new batteries for future Tesla products
  • Develop and execute test setups for product validation testing
  • Collaborate with engineering staff to enhance current battery products
  • Operate and maintain production-representative assembly equipment
  • Maintain and calibrate cutting-edge lab instruments
  • Provide meticulous documentation during builds, tests, and inspections
  • Ensure a safe and organized lab environment
  • Travel to support product launches at global factories

Requirements For Battery Engineering Technician

  • Extensive practical experience as an automotive/electronics engineering technician
  • Proficiency in standard electronics lab tools
  • Mechanical fabrication skills and knowledge of hand and power tools
  • Understanding of basic electricity, physics, and engineering fundamentals
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Self-directed with excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to lift 45lbs
  • Experience working with hazardous chemicals
  • Associates or Technical Degree desired (not required)
  • Machine shop and fabrication skills desired (not required)
