Responsibilities For Battery Engineering Technician
- Design, build, and test engineering prototypes of new batteries for future Tesla products
- Develop and execute test setups for product validation testing
- Collaborate with engineering staff to enhance current battery products
- Operate and maintain production-representative assembly equipment
- Maintain and calibrate cutting-edge lab instruments
- Provide meticulous documentation during builds, tests, and inspections
- Ensure a safe and organized lab environment
- Travel to support product launches at global factories
Requirements For Battery Engineering Technician
- Extensive practical experience as an automotive/electronics engineering technician
- Proficiency in standard electronics lab tools
- Mechanical fabrication skills and knowledge of hand and power tools
- Understanding of basic electricity, physics, and engineering fundamentals
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Self-directed with excellent communication and documentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to lift 45lbs
- Experience working with hazardous chemicals
- Associates or Technical Degree desired (not required)
- Machine shop and fabrication skills desired (not required)
