Tesla's Test & Automation Team is seeking a Build and Release Manager to join their innovative robotics division, specifically working on the Tesla Bot project. This role combines the excitement of working on cutting-edge robotics with the technical challenges of managing complex software deployment systems. As a Build and Release Manager, you'll be at the intersection of firmware, hardware, and automation, working with multiple engineering teams to ensure smooth deployment of software across Tesla's electronic control units.
The position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of next-generation robotics while building and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines. You'll be responsible for developing automation pipelines and managing applications/firmware builds and releases across Tesla's PCBAs, requiring both technical expertise and strong project management skills.
The ideal candidate will bring 1-3 years of relevant experience and a strong technical foundation in build systems and release management. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and on-time delivery are crucial, collaborating with various teams including Design Engineering, Firmware, Validation, and Product Security.

Responsibilities For Build & Release Manager, Tesla Bot
- Work with Design Engineering, Firmware, Validation, and Product Security teams to define and drive build/release processes for Tesla's ECUs/PCBAs
- Define scalable policies and procedures for successful firmware builds and releases
- Develop and manage automation pipelines
- Manage build configuration requirements from early bring-up to start-of-production
- Work with multi-functional teams to resolve bugs, feature/build issues, and drive release timeline
Requirements For Build & Release Manager, Tesla Bot
- 1-3 years experience managing build and release process
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent industry experience (5+)
- Understanding of branching, configuration management, testing, build and release processes
- Technical understanding of development tools, source control, and continuous integration build systems
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with multiple partners across organization
- Ability to independently manage complex project objectives
- Proven track record of defining and completing processes
