Responsibilities For Cell Electrochemical Modeling Engineer
- Optimize model parameters to predict empirical battery data
- Write test plans and propose design of experiments
- Use data manipulation and visualization skills to convey model and test results
- Translate aging mechanisms into mathematical representations
- Document and communicate model workflow and simulation results
- Collaborate with cross-functional product development teams
- Develop and maintain electrochemical physics-based models of lithium-ion cells
Requirements For Cell Electrochemical Modeling Engineer
- Deep understanding of physical parameters and mathematical models relationship
- Knowledge of state-of-the-art modeling techniques for lithium-ion electrode chemistries
- Degree in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in electrochemical system modeling
- Experience numerically solving PDEs and ODEs
- Programming and data visualization skills (Python or MATLAB)
- Knowledge of lithium-ion batteries degradation mechanisms
