Responsibilities For Cell Electrochemical Modeling Engineer

  • Optimize model parameters to predict empirical battery data
  • Write test plans, propose design of experiments, and summarize results
  • Use data manipulation and visualization skills to convey model and test results
  • Follow up on inquiries and disseminate results traceably
  • Work with cross functional teams to determine ideal cell chemistry and design
  • Translate aging mechanisms into mathematical representations
  • Document and communicate model workflow, implementations, and simulation results

Requirements For Cell Electrochemical Modeling Engineer

Python
MySQL
  • Deep understanding of physical parameters relationship to mathematical model behaviors
  • Knowledge of state-of-the-art modeling techniques for lithium-ion electrode chemistries
  • Degree in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in electrochemical system modeling
  • Experience numerically solving PDEs and ODEs
  • Programming and data visualization skills (Python or MATLAB)
  • Knowledge of degradation mechanisms in lithium-ion batteries
  • Familiarity with MySQL (plus)
