Responsibilities For Chassis & Body in White Test Engineer

  • Conduct hands-on component and system level durability and strength tests using MTS servo hydraulic systems
  • Work directly with reliability and design engineers for test planning activities
  • Develop test fixtures using CAD and work with labs for fixture fabrication
  • Conduct detailed inspections and root cause failures
  • Conduct data acquisition and instrumentation of sensors
  • Post process test data and make detailed test reports
  • Be involved with general test equipment maintenance and lab expansions
  • Work with third party labs to coordinate and conduct testing
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements For Chassis & Body in White Test Engineer

  • Degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Strong internship experience and/or participation in competitive projects (Formula SAE etc.)
  • Experience with testing, using hydraulic or electric actuators
  • Experience with instrumentation of sensors and data acquisition systems
  • Experience designing in CAD
  • Proven track record as a hands-on Engineer
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization skills with meticulous attention to detail
