Responsibilities For CNC Programmer, Die Shop
- Program 5-axis CNC Mills in a low-volume / high-mix workflow
- Prepare operator documents and prove out programs on the floor with machinists
- Work closely with engineers to provide input on design for manufacturability
- Machine complex components to tight tolerances in various materials with tight deadlines
- Use various inspection and measurement tools to validate work
- Track and document machining processes and results
- Provide feedback to engineers, machinists and programmers on design and process improvement
Requirements For CNC Programmer, Die Shop
- 10+ years of CNC mill programming experience
- 4+ years of 5 axis programming experience
- Proficient with basic shop tools and machines
- CAD/CAM programming with hyperMILL
- Experience with Heidenhain CNC controls
- Experience machining dies
- CAD experience with CATIA V5
