CNC Programmer, Machinist

Tesla's machine shop at Gigafactory Nevada is seeking a talented CNC Programmer/Machinist to support their mission of accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy. The role involves programming, setting up, and running 3-axis vertical CNC Mills and/or Lathes in a low-volume, high-mix workflow, with 5-axis experience highly preferred.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working closely with engineers on design for manufacturability and process improvements
• Machining complex components to tight tolerances in various materials with tight deadlines
• Using inspection and measurement tools to validate work
• Tracking and documenting machining processes and results
• Collaborating with team members to find solutions and communicating effectively

The ideal candidate will bring:

• 5+ years of CNC mill CAM programming experience (Mastercam preferred)
• Ability to identify and procure effective tooling and work-holding solutions
• Thorough knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T, and measurement tools
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
