As a Compliance Test Engineer for Grid Interoperability, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring Tesla's energy products meet global standards and certifications.

Responsibilities For Compliance Test Engineer, Grid Interoperability

  • Perform grid code and product safety type testing
  • Setup test configuration hardware and firmware
  • Create configuration files for country/utility grid code requirements
  • Write Compliance Product Design Requirements (CPDR)
  • Support product registrations and permitting applications
  • Research new market entry requirements
  • Represent Tesla on code committee in renewable energy industry
  • Serve as an expert resource for compliance test engineers
  • Work with NRTLs to achieve product compliance target

Requirements For Compliance Test Engineer, Grid Interoperability

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience in renewable energy systems certification process
  • Experienced in grid interactive and grid support standards
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Strong lab/test/data analysis/troubleshooting/reporting skills
  • Proven track record in renewable product certifications
  • Experience with test equipment (Yokogawa, Dewetron, etc.)
  • Fluent in English
