Responsibilities For EMC Test Engineer

  • Perform EMC testing for Tesla modules and vehicles
  • Generate EMC test plans and test reports
  • Coordinate EMC testing with 3rd party laboratories
  • Review, analyze, and interpret EMC test results
  • Prepare vehicles and electronics modules for EMC testing
  • Collaborate with EMC troubleshooting efforts
  • Work with design teams in all phases of electronic product development
  • Perform product change assessment for EMC
  • Develop and validate EMC test setups for emissions and immunity

Requirements For EMC Test Engineer

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 2 years experience in EMC testing, or equivalent experience
  • Experience performing EMC testing
  • Experience with EMC test automation software
  • Working knowledge of EMC testing instruments
  • Experience in generating detailed EMC test reports
  • Basic understanding of Electromagnetic theory
  • Hands-on experience in debugging radiated and conducted emissions
  • Familiar with communication protocols like CAN, LIN, Ethernet, USB
  • Ability to meet aggressive delivery targets
