Tesla's Energy Engineering group is seeking a dynamic Engineering Program Manager for their Megapack program. This role combines technical leadership with cross-functional coordination, requiring interaction with design engineering, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, compliance, and field operations teams. Based in the Bay Area with some travel to manufacturing facilities in California or Nevada, this position offers a unique opportunity to shepherd projects from concept through prototype validation and production ramp.

Responsibilities For Engineering Program Manager, Megapack
- Work with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Operations, Facilities and Construction teams
- Manage product cost down and quality improvements
- Create, maintain, communicate, and present schedules for design and manufacturing engineering projects
- Prioritize engineering team's work based on risk, resources and payback
- Identify creative ways to overcome obstacles
- Define processes for risk and change management
Requirements For Engineering Program Manager, Megapack
- Experience in management of engineering projects for mass produced products
- Understanding of engineering product design cycle and product release cycle
- Experience creating, maintaining and communicating schedules
- Understanding of multilevel Bill of Material hierarchy
- Ability to inspire confidence in multiple layers of management
- Ability to work cross-functionally
- Degree in engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or equivalent experience)
