Responsibilities For Engineering Technician, Cell Engineering

  • Build test cells such as coin cells and pouch cells and start tests on electronic equipment
  • Dissect battery cells to make measurements and harvest the components
  • Keep accurate records of the dissection and cell builds in an organized and timely manner
  • Help with manual tasks around the lab including cleaning cell parts, organizing lab benches and supplies
  • Monitor and document testing status, communicate issues, and help find solutions

Requirements For Engineering Technician, Cell Engineering

  • Above average manual dexterity and visual acuity for delicate assembly tasks
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures with high accuracy
  • Working knowledge of Windows and MS Office
  • Good communication skills and high attention to detail
  • Experience working with hazardous chemicals
  • Experience with air-sensitive materials and/or battery materials (preferred)
  • Experience using glove box and/or battery cyclers (preferred)
