Responsibilities For Engineering Technician, Cell Testing, Abuse Test & Engineering

  • Lead and conduct abuse tests on cells and components under electrical, mechanical and thermal stresses
  • Collaborate with Engineers on technical reviews for safety requirements
  • Plan test execution and manage logistics
  • Design, fabricate, and modify test fixtures and equipment
  • Conduct pre-test measurements and post-test teardowns
  • Provide clear documentation of test setup, results, and findings
  • Train Technicians on new test methods and techniques
  • Perform periodic maintenance, calibration, and repairs

Requirements For Engineering Technician, Cell Testing, Abuse Test & Engineering

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in a lab or field setting
  • High awareness of safety hazards, procedures, and best practices
  • Extensive hands-on experience with machining and power tools
  • Electrical and thermal fundamentals knowledge
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Complex troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with data acquisition systems
  • Ability to collaborate and build test rigs to specifications
  • Flexibility to work in South Bay Area sites
