Tesla's High Voltage Battery Test Team is seeking an Engineering Technician to join their innovative team in developing and testing cutting-edge battery systems for their Semi-Truck Battery Packs. Responsibilities For Engineering Technician, High Voltage Battery, Cell Cycler

  • Conduct visual, mechanical, and electrical inspections of battery packs
  • Install and instrument battery packs into environmental chambers
  • Collaborate with Test Engineers to develop and execute test plans
  • Communicate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues
  • Provide documentation of test results and inspection findings
  • Maintain lab organization and safety standards
  • Design, fabricate, and modify test fixtures and equipment
  • Support lab expansion and testing activities

Requirements For Engineering Technician, High Voltage Battery, Cell Cycler

Python
  • Extensive practical experience in engineering principles and practices
  • High Voltage training or working knowledge of high voltage DC systems
  • Proficient in mechanical fabrication and machine shop operations
  • Experience with electronics lab tools and testing equipment
  • Experience with wiring harness design and fabrication
  • Strong understanding of physics and engineering fundamentals
  • Excellent documentation and written communication skills
  • Experience with CAD software and electrical design tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
