Tesla is seeking an Engineering Technician to join their Instrumentation and Imaging Group, focusing on product validation for cutting-edge vehicles like Cybertruck, Semi, and next-generation vehicles. Responsibilities For Engineering Technician, Instrumentation & Data Acquisition

  • Identify, source, and procure required data acquisition and sensors
  • Install sensors and data acquisition hardware on vehicles
  • Set up data acquisition programs and validate sensor connectivity
  • Maintain sensor library, sensor repair, and coordinate calibration activities
  • Create daily work plans to achieve test plan goals
  • Design and create custom brackets and fixtures
  • Support testing activities and vehicle preparation
  • Perform onsite support and testing while monitoring data
  • Conduct basic data analysis and data cleanup

Requirements For Engineering Technician, Instrumentation & Data Acquisition

  • Experience with vehicle instrumentation (Accelerometers, Loadcells, Pressure sensors, etc.)
  • Experience with data acquisition systems (DTS, SOMAT, NI, DEWESOFT)
  • Formal electronics training or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to operate various hand and power tools
  • Ability to use diagnostic scan tools and test equipment
  • 3 years of instrumentation and data acquisition experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 50%
