Tesla is seeking an Engineering Technician to join their Instrumentation and Imaging Group, focusing on product validation for cutting-edge vehicles like Cybertruck, Semi, and next-generation vehicles. Responsibilities For Engineering Technician, Instrumentation & Data Acquisition
- Identify, source, and procure required data acquisition and sensors
- Install sensors and data acquisition hardware on vehicles
- Set up data acquisition programs and validate sensor connectivity
- Maintain sensor library, sensor repair, and coordinate calibration activities
- Create daily work plans to achieve test plan goals
- Design and create custom brackets and fixtures
- Support testing activities and vehicle preparation
- Perform onsite support and testing while monitoring data
- Conduct basic data analysis and data cleanup
Requirements For Engineering Technician, Instrumentation & Data Acquisition
- Experience with vehicle instrumentation (Accelerometers, Loadcells, Pressure sensors, etc.)
- Experience with data acquisition systems (DTS, SOMAT, NI, DEWESOFT)
- Formal electronics training or equivalent work experience
- Ability to operate various hand and power tools
- Ability to use diagnostic scan tools and test equipment
- 3 years of instrumentation and data acquisition experience
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel domestically up to 50%
