This hands-on role focuses on supporting accelerated product durability testing for vehicle interior components. The position involves assembling and disassembling vehicle components, building test fixtures, and executing tests. The ideal candidate should have a strong desire to learn and develop new skills, with experience in using basic tools and measurement equipment. Responsibilities For Engineering Technician, Interiors

  • Execute tests: setup, perform inspections, conduct maintenance, and retrofits
  • Document and report issues identified during tests or inspections
  • Collaborate with engineers to resolve mechanical & electrical issues
  • Collect pre-test and post-test data on components
  • Support Engineers in instrumentation and data acquisition
  • Assemble & wire test fixtures

Requirements For Engineering Technician, Interiors

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Experience with basic hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to use basic measurement tools
  • Analytical problem-solving skills
  • Basic experience with MS office tools
  • Knowledge of working principals of thermal components
  • Experience with lab and test equipment
  • Ability to adapt to quick project/task changes
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
