Tesla's Cell Qualification and R&D group at Gigafactory Nevada is seeking a Lab Maintenance Technician to join their Cell Characterization Lab. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge Li-ion battery cell technology and contribute to Tesla's mission of accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy. Responsibilities For Engineering Technician, Lab Equipment, Cell Engineering

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Conduct hands-on electrical testing and data collection
  • Document maintenance schedules using PC-based programs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve test equipment issues
  • Manage calibration of portable test equipment
  • Lead equipment installation and test fixture assembly
  • Report lab issues and assist in solution identification
  • Maintain lab environment and manage inventory

Requirements For Engineering Technician, Lab Equipment, Cell Engineering

  • Knowledge in electrical or mechanical engineering fundamentals
  • Experience with laboratory equipment maintenance
  • Ability to read complex schematics and mechanical drawings
