Responsibilities For Engineering Technician, Mechanical, Hardware Engineering
- Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and systems, including chillers, power supplies, and other electro-mechanical devices
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic equipment
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to fabricate custom R&D fixtures
- Read and interpret build plans to develop processes, and technical manuals
- Collaborate with Engineers and other Technicians to design and implement modifications
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
- Deploying data acquisition instruments, and communicating data results
Requirements For Engineering Technician, Mechanical, Hardware Engineering
- Degree in Mechanical Technology, Electronics, or related field preferred or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of thermal, mechanical, and electrical systems
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
- Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software and other technical tools
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret diagrams, and technical manuals
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and tools
- Knowledge of electrical systems and controls preferred
