Tesla's Dojo Supercomputing team is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join their innovative hardware engineering division. Responsibilities For Engineering Technician, Mechanical, Hardware Engineering

  • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and systems, including chillers, power supplies, and other electro-mechanical devices
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic equipment
  • Fabricate custom R&D fixtures using hand tools and specialized equipment
  • Read and interpret build plans and technical manuals
  • Collaborate with Engineers to design and implement equipment modifications
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
  • Deploy data acquisition instruments and communicate data results

Requirements For Engineering Technician, Mechanical, Hardware Engineering

  • Degree in Mechanical Technology, Electronics, or related field preferred or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of thermal, mechanical, and electrical systems
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
  • Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams and technical manuals
  • Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and controls preferred
