Tesla is seeking an Engineering Technician to join their Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) team in Fremont, California. This role is crucial in developing Tesla's industry-leading electric vehicles and ensuring their acoustic integrity. As an NVH Technician, you'll work directly with engineering teams to tackle complex challenges in vehicle acoustics and performance.

Responsibilities For Engineering Technician, NVH

  • Work independently or with other NVH technicians on vehicle retrofits and adaptations
  • Install countermeasures in test vehicles for NVH improvement
  • Contribute to fabrication of prototype parts and vehicles
  • Assess vehicle performance for NVH including squeak and rattle, brake noise, drive unit noise
  • Perform audit of production vehicles and assembly process
  • Maintain NVH fleet vehicles and test equipment
  • Perform vehicle instrumentation with accelerometers and microphones
  • Record test data during vehicle NVH testing

Requirements For Engineering Technician, NVH

  • 3+ years experience working in an automotive dealership
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of vehicle and subsystems operation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic understanding of vehicle NVH, instrumentation, and CAN communication
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willing to work flexible schedule
  • Excellent attention to detail
