Description For Engineering Technician, PCB Rework, Hardware Engineering

Tesla's Dojo supercomputing team is seeking a skilled PCBA Technician to join their hardware engineering department. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of AI and automotive technology, specifically supporting the development and maintenance of Tesla's cutting-edge supercomputing systems.

The position combines hands-on technical work with advanced electrical engineering principles, requiring expertise in both low and high-voltage circuit analysis. As a PCB Rework Technician, you'll be instrumental in bringing up systems for research and development, working directly with electrical engineers in a dynamic datacenter environment.

The role offers comprehensive responsibilities ranging from circuit construction and testing to system maintenance and troubleshooting. Responsibilities For Engineering Technician, PCB Rework, Hardware Engineering

  • Collaborate with electrical engineers in design, development, and testing of electrical systems
  • Collect and analyze data to identify trends and improvements
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems using diagnostic equipment
  • Develop and implement test procedures for industry compliance
  • Install, commission, and maintain electrical systems
  • Build and specify electrical components for low and high-voltage circuits
  • Repair and maintain PCBs and electronic components

Requirements For Engineering Technician, PCB Rework, Hardware Engineering

Python
  • Strong understanding of Ohms law and circuit analysis
  • Experience with electrical testing and measurement equipment
  • Experience constructing circuits using a breadboard
  • Ability to use hand tools following industry standards
  • 2-5 years of experience as an electrical engineering technician
  • Experience with C++, Python, or Arduino
  • Familiarity with electrical circuit simulation software
  • Knowledge of microcontrollers and embedded systems
  • Understanding of OSI model and optical transceivers
