Responsibilities For Engineering Technician, Process, Cell Engineering

  • Lead the operation of electrode and cell assembly equipment to produce and test prototype battery cells
  • Document critical build process parameters and quality control metrics
  • Perform equipment inspections and maintenance
  • Perform build QC on electrodes and cells
  • Provide feedback on SOPs and assist in writing new ones
  • Diagnose cell build issues and equipment failures
  • Perform minor equipment repairs and installations

Requirements For Engineering Technician, Process, Cell Engineering

  • Passion for making new products and using data for quality and reliability
  • Ability to analyze processing challenges and equipment fault conditions
  • Careful attention to detail and clear communication skills
  • Experience with slurry mixing and roll-to-roll coating/pressing/slitting (preferred)
  • Experience building and testing Li-ion coin and pouch cells (preferred)
  • Experience with design of experiments (preferred)
