Responsibilities For Engineering Technician, Quality & Reliability, Cell Engineering

  • Support routine Cell Quality activities at Gigafactory Nevada
  • Assist in identification and resolution of manufacturing and design issues
  • Support incoming quality tasks to ensure manufacturing capability and product reliability
  • Manage non-conforming cell material flow and material disposition
  • Utilize specialized lab equipment for failure analysis procedures
  • Work cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and research teams
  • Participate in and lead continuous improvement and training activities
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to provide actionable feedback

Requirements For Engineering Technician, Quality & Reliability, Cell Engineering

  • Strong motivation to learn advanced physical, electrochemical, and thermodynamic theory
  • Extremely detail-oriented with exceptional documentation and organization skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and use technological tools
  • Hands on experience inspecting and disassembling small components
  • Knowledge of basic physics, chemistry, and electrical theory
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to lift and sort parts of up to 40 pounds
  • Willing to work long hours and weekends on short notice
