Engineering Technician, Thermal Testing

Tesla is seeking a highly motivated entry-level Engineering Technician to support accelerated product durability testing in their Engineering team. This hands-on role involves assembling and disassembling vehicle components, building test fixtures, and executing tests. The ideal candidate should have a passion for learning and developing new skills.

Key responsibilities include:

• Executing tests using multimeters, force gauges, and torque wrenches
• Documenting and reporting issues identified during tests or inspections
• Collaborating with Engineers to resolve mechanical & electrical issues
• Supporting Engineers in instrumentation and data acquisition
• Assembling & wiring test fixtures
• Using bandsaws and drill presses for test fabrication

Required skills and experience:

• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
• Analytical problem-solving and strong organization skills
• Understanding of Ohm's law and Kirchhoff's laws
• Experience with HVAC and refrigerant systems
• Ability to solder, crimp, and read wire diagrams
• Basic experience with MS Office tools
• Experience working with high and low voltage components
