Tesla is seeking a Vehicle Technician to join their Chassis Controls team in East Liberty, Ohio. This role is crucial for the development and testing of safety-critical chassis control systems in Tesla's vehicles. The role involves extensive work with vehicle chassis controls software, including Traction Control, Stability Control, Steering, and ABS systems. You'll be responsible for preparing and maintaining both prototype and production vehicles for testing purposes. The position requires 40% travel to various domestic and international proving grounds, offering exposure to diverse testing conditions and environments.

As an ideal candidate, you'll bring at least 3 years of Vehicle Technician experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. The role demands excellent problem-solving skills, as you'll be diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues and maintaining vehicles to the latest specifications. Knowledge of CAN architecture and fabrication skills are valuable assets for this position.

Requirements For Engineering Technician, Vehicle Chassis Controls

  • 3+ years Vehicle Technician experience
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Strong workmanship and attention to detail
  • Able to work against high-level goals without day to day oversight
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • Fabrication skills (preferred)
  • Exposure to vehicle testing (preferred)
  • Knowledge of CAN architecture (preferred)
