Responsibilities For Engineering Technician, Vehicle Test

  • Collaborate with test engineers & technicians in vehicle test execution including test setup, inspections, diagnosis, part retrofits and driving
  • Support various teams within the engineering organization where priorities is required
  • General shop maintenance & upkeep
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Time Management: Independently manage time to complete parallel assignments
  • Communicate directly to various engineering teams in status updates and problem solving

Requirements For Engineering Technician, Vehicle Test

Linux
  • 5+ years in automotive service industry, 3+ years of engineering prototype or product validation
  • Technical/Automotive ASE (or equivalent) certification
  • Advanced diagnosing capabilities on electric/hybrid vehicles, NVH, both in low and high voltage
  • Use of MS Office tools and other systems
  • Strong organization skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to travel up to 30% within 100-mile radius, 10% within the U.S
  • Basic fabrication use of bandsaws, drill press, mig or tig welder
  • Vehicle & controller firmware deployment and diagnosis
