Description For Failure Analysis Engineering Technician, CT Scan & XRay

Tesla's Failure Analysis Team is seeking a CT Scan & XRay Engineering Technician to join their mission of improving product experience by determining root causes of field issues. This night shift role (7:00PM - 3:00AM) offers a 10% pay increase and involves operating advanced imaging equipment to support various vehicle and energy product systems investigations. The position combines hands-on technical work with analytical skills, requiring expertise in CT and X-Ray systems operation. Responsibilities For Failure Analysis Engineering Technician, CT Scan & XRay

  • Setup and operate industrial CT and X-Ray systems
  • Produce high-quality radiographic and CT imaging to facilitate investigations
  • Document and communicate findings to internal customers
  • Communicate and perform basic machine maintenance of the X-Ray and CT systems
  • Provide input for the continued improvement of CT procedures

Requirements For Failure Analysis Engineering Technician, CT Scan & XRay

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Strong computer and diagnostics skills
  • Ability to adapt to both large volumes of similar scans and low volumes of individual scans
  • Tolerance for ambiguity
  • Hands on experience with X-ray and CT preferred
  • Fundamental understanding of X-Ray and CT theory is preferred
  • Ability to lift 45 lbs
