Responsibilities For Firmware Integration Engineer, Factory Firmware
- Set up system level manufacturing processes related to firmware
- Develop software tools for vehicle diagnostics, testing, and validation
- Integrate vehicle firmware tests in manufacturing and support new program launches
- Validate firmware in manufacturing through integration and release of new versions
- Develop software solutions to bridge manufacturing process gaps
- Troubleshoot high priority production situations
- Influence end-to-end process of firmware integration into vehicle subsystems
Requirements For Firmware Integration Engineer, Factory Firmware
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Strong scripting skills in common languages (Python, Ruby, etc.)
- Experience testing and validating embedded software in electro-mechanical systems
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with creative problem-solving abilities
- Experience working with new product introduction and process improvements
- Experience working in high volume automotive manufacturing
- Understanding of lean manufacturing metrics
- 2+ years of professional/relevant experience
