Responsibilities For Firmware Integration Engineer, Factory Firmware

  • Set up system level manufacturing processes related to firmware
  • Develop software tools for vehicle diagnostics, testing, and validation
  • Integrate vehicle firmware tests in manufacturing and support new program launches
  • Validate firmware in manufacturing through integration and release of new versions
  • Develop software solutions to bridge manufacturing process gaps
  • Troubleshoot high priority production situations
  • Influence end-to-end process of firmware integration into vehicle subsystems

Requirements For Firmware Integration Engineer, Factory Firmware

Python
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Strong scripting skills in common languages (Python, Ruby, etc.)
  • Experience testing and validating embedded software in electro-mechanical systems
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with creative problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working with new product introduction and process improvements
  • Experience working in high volume automotive manufacturing
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing metrics
  • 2+ years of professional/relevant experience
